You should set up an ADS-B receiver at home for free premium accounts to FlightAware and FlightRadar24. Here's what you need.
Parts (eBay is an alternative to my links):
- Raspberry Pi 3b+ - other models work, but this is my preference
- Power supply
- Outdoor antenna and Cable - give yourself some slack
- Indoor antenna
- Cable glands
- Weatherproof tape
- USB receiver
- Pelican 1200/1300 case, any waterproof case will do. Pelican got expensive, check eBay or Craigslist.
- MicroSD card
Software:
I use ADSB.IM since it feeds FlightAware and FlightRadar24 from the same hardware and is easy to set up. Follow their good directions to install. You'll get your feeder IDs for free accounts on FlightAware and FlightRadar24. Enjoy having premium accounts and watching your data feed stats. It's a fun project.
